A Specialist Dust Disease Law Firm in New South Wales, Australia

We provide specialist dust-related legal advice, clear guidance and results families can trust. Our mission is simple: do right by those affected by dust disease.

Our Promise

We provide specialist dust-related legal advice, clear guidance and results families can trust.

We believe that those who worked hard to provide for their families deserve to be heard, supported and properly compensated when preventable exposure leads to serious illness. Every matter we take on is guided by integrity, empathy and a commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes.

At Carter Hawkins Lawyers, families are at the heart of everything we do.

Supporting Organisations

At Carter Hawkins Lawyers, our commitment extends beyond the legal process.

We recognise that meaningful support for individuals and families affected by dust disease also comes from dedicated nurses, doctors, researchers, political advocates and community organisations — and we proudly support and endorse the important work they do in advancing care, research, awareness and reform.

Our contribution to community

At Carter Hawkins Lawyers, we believe that a law firm should play a meaningful role in the community it serves.  Our commitment to community involvement reflects the values that guide our work with clients every day.

Members of our team have supported a range of community initiatives over the years, including causes connected to health, disability support, and charitable events that raise awareness and funds for important organisations.  We value opportunities to contribute our time, energy and resources to initiatives that strengthen the broader community.

We also recognise that many of the causes we support are closely connected to the experiences of the people we represent.  If there is a charity, organisation, or community initiative that is important to you, we would welcome the opportunity to learn more.  Where possible, we are always open to supporting causes that matter to our clients and the communities we serve.

Client Testimonials

Jacqueline Hughes was very professional and pleasant. She fully explained everything throughout the process. I was very comfortable with Jacqueline and couldn’t have asked for a better service. I would recommend her to everyone.

— K.F. — former asbestos disease client, Brisbane, Queensland

I would like to commend Jacqueline for her assistance in obtaining compensation for the mesothelioma that I suffered as a result of working with asbestos some fifty years ago. Her expertise and persistence in achieving this outcome was outstanding.

— T.M. — former mesothelioma client, Bossley Park, Western Sydney

Isabella and Jacqueline, thanks so much for your tireless efforts in handling my Dad’s claim. He always spoke so highly of you. Although he is no longer with us, we felt it was important to honour his wishes and acknowledge your outstanding service and appreciation or all you have done.

— Wife and daughter of former mesothelioma client, Concord, New South Wales
